During our walk through Brussels, we visit the Horta Gallery (covered passageway), where we see the exhibition “Frida Kahlo – The Life Of an Icon”. We enjoy original films, video projections and digital installations on the walls, ceiling and floor. It smells a bit commercial, especially the ticket price, but in the end it was an interesting experience.

Kahlo and Trotsky had a close relationship that lasted for two years (1937-39). During this time, they lived together with 24-hour supervision. Kahlo affectionately referred to him as ‘Piochitas’ (little goatee) and he kept love letters from her hidden in books.
