After successfully completing our morning ascent of Mount Matutum, we made our way back to Davao. En route, we consulted the map and identified a small hill with a road leading to its summit. Two aspects piqued our curiosity about this hill: firstly, it held a prominence of 100 meters, and secondly, it bore the peculiar moniker “Crocodile Hills.” It’s plausible that this hill was once home to a crocodile farm, possibly making it a tourist attraction in the past. However, upon reaching the summit, we found only abandoned structures and a pleasant viewing platform. The true highest point likely lay around a hundred meters from the houses, possibly denoted by a minor elevation on the road or concealed amidst the foliage.
Following a pleasant and uncomplicated stroll, we proceed towards Davao. Our next destination is Naga, where we will embark on our quest to ascend our third ultra peak, Mount Isarog.
